   get your brother to go to his oncologist and question him/her that question as you are more likely to get a reliable answer that way. sorry to be harsh but that is the best way to find out in this situation as the oncologist will be able to give reasons for to you both further and more extensively.

   Sorry, but it is impossible to answer your question. Squamous cell carcinoma can occur just about anywhere. What location are you referring to? What is the stage? Where is between the arms, on the back, the chest? Is this a new primary or metastatic disease?
